High-Speed Internet Terms & Conditions

General

Your use of the UScellular® High-Speed Internet Service, including the use of any equipment and Services (together "HSI Service") is governed by the following documents. Any conflict among these documents shall be resolved by giving priority to the documents in the order listed below.

  1. These Terms and Conditions for HSI Service
  2. UScellular Customer Service Agreement
  3. Any third-party end-user license agreements or additional terms applicable for equipment

HSI Service does not support roaming. HSI Service plans require that the equipment associated with the plan be used only at one fixed location approved by UScellular. The HSI Service plans are fixed service plans and may only be used at one location within UScellular licensed market area as approved by UScellular when your HSI Service Plan is activated ("HSI Service Address"). You may not move the equipment to a new location without UScellular approval. In the event you desire to move your HSI Service Plan from your HSI Service Address you will need to request preapproval from UScellular. UScellular will determine if your new location is one that is permitted per your HSI Service Plan. In the event you move the device from the HSI Service Address without UScellular approval, we may either cancel your HSI Service Plan or proactively change your HSI Service Plan to one that best fits your usage and is available at the new location. The new service plan may be another HSI Service Plan or any other data plan currently available. If your HSI Service Plan is cancelled, you will still be liable for any amounts owed for the equipment.

External Fixed Equipment

Certain HSI Service Plans may require the installation of permanent equipment at your HSI Service Address. Only a professional installer can install/de-install this equipment. You agree to cooperate with UScellular as necessary to allow the equipment necessary to receive the HSI Service to be installed/de-installed at your HSI Service Address. You agree to follow any instructions provided by UScellular or any UScellular designated third party regarding installation/de-installation of any equipment required for the HSI Service, including installation/de-installation of replacement equipment if necessary.

IP Addresses

The HSI Service utilizes dynamic IP addresses or privately managed IP addresses. UScellular makes no guarantees regarding the HSI Services interconnectivity with the internet and some Internet content may be unavailable to you. Static IP addresses are not used or available for the HSI Service and some uses that require static IP addresses are not supported by the HSI Service.

Software

You agree and understand that the equipment and systems through which UScellular provides the HSI Service may contain firmware or software ("Software"), and that UScellular shall have the right to upgrade, update, monitor and perform maintenance on the equipment and Software at any time without notice. You consent to any Software license terms associated with your use of or access to the HSI Service or equipment.

Compilance with Law and Prohibited Uses

You agree to comply with applicable laws with respect to your use of the HSI Service including, without limitation, those regarding spam emails, hacking, privacy, eavesdropping, wiretapping, and child pornography and that UScellular shall have no liability to you regarding video, pictures or audio transmitted, stored or made available by the HSI Service. You agree not to use the HSI Service in any manner that violates any law, rule, statute, regulation, or that defames, libels, or infringes the rights of others, or that interferes with or diminishes the use and satisfaction of the HSI Service or any other services offered by UScellular by others, or that encourages the committing of any criminal offense. Additionally the HSI Services may not be used in any manner (including but not limited to using any malicious software or malware designed to infiltrate a network or computer system such as spyware, worms, Trojan horses, rootkits, ransomware, and/or crimeware) that defeats, obstructs or penetrates, or attempts to defeat, obstruct or penetrate the security measures of UScellular network or systems, or another entity's network or systems; that accesses, or attempts to access without authority, the accounts of others; or that adversely affects the ability of other people or systems to use the HSI Service or any other services offered by UScellular. You agree you won't use the HSI Service in a manner that creates "denial of service" attacks against a network host or individual user or for "spam" or unsolicited commercial or bulk email (or activities that have the effect of facilitating unsolicited commercial email or unsolicited bulk email) or that resells the HSI Service or in violation of the third party licenses, policies or rules for any sites you visit.

Limits of Liability

Installation of equipment or the failure of or inability to use the services or equipment, is limited to the charges you incur for services, equipment or installation/de-installation of equipment during the affected period. This means UScellular is not liable for any incidental or consequential damages (such as lost profits or lost business opportunities), punitive or exemplary damages or attorney's fees.
