Laurent Therivel ("LT")

President and Chief Executive Officer As president and chief executive officer, LT is focused on growing U.S. Cellular's business and positioning the company for future success. He is highly customer and associate focused and is committed to U.S. Cellular's culture of providing an exceptional wireless experience for customers. He is also on the board of directors of both TDS (U.S. Cellular's parent company) and U.S. Cellular.

LT joined U.S. Cellular as president and CEO in July 2020, bringing 15+ years of experience in the wireless industry, including more than 10 years at AT&T, where he held roles as chief financial officer of AT&T Business Solutions, senior vice president of AT&T Small Business Solutions, and his most recent position as CEO of AT&T Mexico.

Prior to his career at AT&T, LT was chief operating officer at IPcelerate, Inc., and he began his career at Bain & Company, leading several high impact assignments related to operational redesign and cost structure. He also completed four and a half years with the U.S. Marine Corps, earning the rank of Captain and serving as a telecommunications operations officer in San Diego, Calif., and a communications officer in Southeast Asia.

LT earned bachelor's degrees in business administration and marketing from Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas and a master's degree in business administration from Harvard Business School in Boston, Mass. He lives in the Chicago area with his wife and two children.
.S. Cellular Chief Human Resources Officer Deirdre C Drake

Deirdre C. Drake

Executive Vice President - Chief People Officer As executive vice president – chief people officer, Deirdre leads the human resources organization and is responsible for delivering integrated human resources solutions that directly enable the achievement of U.S. Cellular’s strategic objectives. She collaborates with various teams to ensure there is appropriate support for and communications about the organization's mission and vision of providing an excellent customer experience.

Deirdre began her career in human resources in 1989 with Marathon Oil Company. She has also held increasingly senior leadership positions in human resources with Kraft Foods, ARAMARK Corporation and The Bank of Montreal Financial Group. Prior to joining U.S. Cellular in April 2014, Deirdre was managing director and chief human resources officer for the Bank of Montreal Financial Group--Capital Markets Division.

Deirdre earned a bachelor’s degree in human resources from Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, Mich., and a master’s degree in business administration from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia. She also received an honorary doctorate in commercial science from Central Michigan University. Deirdre is a lifetime member of the National Black MBA Association, serves as a board member with the Chicago Public Library Foundation and American Red Cross of Greater Chicago, and is actively involved in a number of local and national not-for profit organizations.
U.S. Cellular COO Jay M Ellison

Jay Ellison

Special Advisor to the President and CEO Jay Ellison is special advisor to the President and CEO, a position he has held since September 2020. He previously served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of U.S. Cellular from 2000 - 2009 and 2013 - August 2020. In that role, he was responsible for ensuring the company’s continued growth and that all U.S. Cellular associates were focused on providing the world’s best experience.

He has more than 30 years of experience in the wireless industry and is passionate about driving standards of excellence, delivering a great experience across all channels and offering products and services that customers need to stay connected.

Prior to his time at U.S. Cellular, Ellison was vice president of sales at Ameritech Cellular Services, where he was responsible for all sales channels and distribution for wireless operations, from 1997-2000. From 1995 to 1997, he was regional vice president/market manager for Ameritech in Chicago, and in Columbus, Ohio, from 1992-1995. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio State University. Ellison has been married for more than 30 years, has two daughters, and resides in Highland Park, Ill.
U.S. Cellular CTO Michael S Irizarry

Michael S. Irizarry, Ph.D.

Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Engineering and Information Services Mike Irizarry joined U.S. Cellular in 2002 and oversees the company’s information systems and technology as well as all the company's wireless technological operations. This work encompasses network build-outs, network operations and technological advancements that include 5G and Voice over LTE (VoLTE) network expansions. He also is a member of U.S. Cellular’s board of directors.

Irizarry and his team are responsible for bringing U.S. Cellular customers an enhanced wireless experience through a reliable, high-speed network that works when and where they need it. He also leads U.S. Cellular’s information systems, strategic operations program and enterprise program management teams. These teams focus on application development, data warehousing, wireless billing technologies and support for data centers and end users, all of which help associates deliver an excellent customer experience.

Prior to joining U.S. Cellular, Irizarry held executive positions with Verizon, Bell Atlantic Mobile and Paging Network, Inc. He is a senior member of the Association for Computing Machinery as well as the I.E.E.E. and its communications and computer societies.

Irizarry earned a bachelor's degree in engineering from Cleveland Technical College, a Master of Science in information management and an MBA from the International School of Information Management, and a doctorate in Communications Technology from Capella University’s School of Business and Technology. He is also a graduate of University of Chicago’s executive management program. Irizarry lives in Barrington Hills, Ill., with his wife and their four children.
U.S. Cellular VP of Sales, Agent Channel Thomas P Catani

Thomas P. Catani

Vice President of Sales — Agent Channel As vice president of sales for the agent channel, Tom Catani enables business results for U.S. Cellular within its indirect sales channel, including over 400 nationwide retail locations. He ensures they have the proper support to help customers make informed decisions about their wireless service. With extensive experience in the wireless and telecommunications industries, Tom enhances the customer experience by regularly engaging with entrepreneurs, customers and associates to ensure that the company is providing the very best products and services.

Since joining the company in 1997, Tom has held several positions in sales and customer service, most recently serving as vice president of sales for the corporate owned channel. In that position, he led U.S. Cellular's retail sales associates and was responsible for executing nationwide customer initiatives to grow the company's customer base. Prior to joining U.S. Cellular, Catani spent 15 years with AT&T and Lucent Technologies in area general manager, workforce development and marketing positions.

Tom holds a master's degree in business administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, and a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Illinois in Champaign. He's an active community advocate, currently serving on the board of directors of Leadership Knoxville. He previously served on the board of directors of the United Way of Greater Knoxville, Knoxville Area Urban League, Knoxville Opera, Random Acts of Flowers, Historic Tennessee Theatre Foundation and was appointed to the City of Knoxville Mayor's Business Advisory Council. He resides in Knoxville, Tennessee with his wife and ever growing family.

Douglas W. Chambers

Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer As executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer, Doug is responsible for U.S. Cellular’s accounting and financial reporting, revenue assurance, credit and real estate activities. His teams also help guide the company’s financial decisions to ensure that U.S. Cellular customers have a great wireless experience.

Doug has more than 25 years of financial experience, and he joins U.S. Cellular from Telephone and Data Systems, Inc. (TDS), U.S. Cellular’s parent company, where he most recently served as senior vice president of finance and chief accounting officer. Prior to joining TDS in 2007, he held management positions at Midway Games, Inc. and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Doug is a certified public accountant, and he earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master’s degree in business administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. He lives in Waunakee, Wis., with his wife and three children.
U.S. Cellular VP Customer Support Nancy Fratzke

Nancy Fratzke

Vice President — Customer Support As vice president of customer support, Nancy guides U.S. Cellular's teams of customer care and financial service associates and ensures they have the proper training and knowledge to help customers make informed decisions about their wireless service. She oversees day-to-day operations of the company's five support centers and leads more than 2,000 associates, helping ensure that they provide an exceptional customer experience at every interaction.

Nancy joined U.S. Cellular in 1999 as a customer service representative and has held roles of increasing responsibility, including resolution team coach, customer service manager, call center director, director of sales for the Oklahoma and Texas markets, interim regional vice president of sales and senior director of the customer care centers. She most recently served as vice president of customer service.

Prior to joining U.S. Cellular, Nancy held manager positions at Landsberg Associates in Lenexa, Kan., and Massco Inc. in Kansas City, Mo.

Nancy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in public relations from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Mo. She resides in Owasso, Okla., with her family.
U.S. Cellular Senior Vice President Legal and Regulatory Affairs John C Gockley

John C. Gockley

Senior Vice President, Legal and Regulatory Affairs As senior vice president of legal and regulatory affairs for U.S. Cellular, John Gockley provides legal counsel to the company's leadership team regarding transactional, regulatory, telecommunications, environmental, employment and financial issues. With more than 35 years of diverse telecommunications experience, John also leads the company's regulatory and policy efforts at the state and federal level that help it achieve outcomes that support its strategic business positions while providing an excellent customer experience.

Before joining U.S. Cellular in 2007, John served as vice president and associate general counsel of regulatory and interconnection at Broadwing Communications. During his career he has served as counsel for various companies including Allegiance Telecom, Ameritech Corporation and Illinois Bell Telephone Company.

John has a bachelor's degree in history from Fordham University in New York City; a juris doctor from John Marshall Law School in Chicago and a master's of law degree in taxation from DePaul University in Chicago. He currently resides in Lisle, Ill., with his family.
U.S. Cellular VP and Controller Jeffrey S Hoersch

Jeffrey S. Hoersch

Vice President and Controller As vice president and controller, Jeff is responsible for U.S. Cellular's accounting, financial reporting and internal control functions. He also helps guide the company's financial decisions to ensure that U.S. Cellular provides a great experience for customers. He collaborates with various teams to establish and enforce financial policies, procedures, controls, and the operation of reporting systems.

Since joining U.S. Cellular in 1998, Hoersch has held several roles of increasing responsibility focused on finance, operations, process improvement and accounting. Prior to his current position he served as vice president of financial planning and analysis. In that role he was responsible for strategic and corporate development, intercarrier services, budgeting and forecasting, shared data analytics and data governance. Before joining U.S. Cellular, Hoersch held a variety of finance positions with BellSouth Wireless.

A certified public accountant, Hoersch earned a master's degree in business administration from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, and a bachelor's degree in finance from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis. He lives in Elgin, Ill., with his wife and three children.
U.S. Cellular VP of Sales, Corporate Owned Retail Eric Jagher

Eric Jagher

Senior Vice President, Retail Sales and Operations As senior vice president of retail sales and operations, Eric is responsible for driving revenue and customer growth, strengthening the end-to-end customer experience, and maintaining standards of excellence across all retail sales channels, multi-channel operations, customer support, and digital/e-commerce. He leads his teams to meet the unique needs of individual communities across U.S. Cellular’s footprint to ensure that customers have a great wireless experience throughout their tenure.

Eric has more than 20 years of telecom and marketing experience and has an extensive background in consulting for a variety of companies. Since joining U.S. Cellular in 2006, he has held positions of increasing responsibility, including director, senior director and vice president positions in strategic planning, insights, analytics, product management, customer strategy and business sales. Most recently, he served as vice president of sales for the corporate-owned retail channel.

Prior to joining U.S. Cellular, Eric was a senior consultant at Deloitte Consulting where he managed the company’s consulting for U.S. Cellular’s enhanced data products. Previously at Deloitte, he worked with several other wireless carriers and companies on strategy and operations projects in wireless and other industries.

Eric earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Washington University in St. Louis, and a master’s degree in business administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. He lives in the Chicagoland area with his wife and three children and is an avid fan of all Boston sports teams.
U.S. Cellular VP, Engineering and Network Operations Robert Jakubek

Robert Jakubek

Vice President, Engineering and Network Operations As vice president of engineering and network operations for U.S. Cellular, Robert is responsible for ensuring the superior quality of U.S. Cellular's high-speed network so that customers have the world's best wireless experience. Jakubek also leads engineering teams at all of U.S. Cellular's network operations centers across the country.

Jakubek joined U.S. Cellular in 1993, and prior to his current position he served in a variety of engineering leadership positions at U.S. Cellular. In those positions, Jakubek led engineering teams to ensure that U.S. Cellular's high-quality network provided an exceptional wireless experience for customers.

Jakubek has a doctorate degree in computer science from Colorado Technical University, a master's degree in business administration from University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, and a bachelor's degree in Engineering Management from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL. He is a senior member of the Association for Computing Machinery as well as the I.E.E.E. He resides in the Chicagoland area with his wife.

U.S. Cellular VP, Multi-Channel Strategy and Operations Marsha Lehr

Marsha Lehr

Vice President - Multi-Channel Strategy and Operations and Digital/E-Commerce As vice president of multi-channel strategy and operations and digital/e-commerce, Marsha is responsible for leading and developing all aspects of U.S. Cellular’s multi-channel vision, strategy and operations for sales and customer service. She collaborates and gathers insights from her teams to create a consistent, exceptional customer experience across multiple channels of service and distribution including all retail touch points, online sales and customer care. She is also responsible for the evolution of U.S. Cellular's online and digital engagement with its customers.

Marsha joined U.S. Cellular in 2002 and has served in several leadership roles within operations integration, enterprise program management and human resources, most recently as senior director of organizational and leadership development, executive communications, training and continuous improvement. In that role, she was responsible for ensuring that all associates had the training and information needed to provide an excellent wireless experience for customers.

Marsha earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and public relations from Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, Ill., and a Master of Science in human resources development from Villanova University in Pennsylvania. She lives in Chicago with her husband and two children.
U.S. Cellular SVP, Information Technology Kevin R Lowell

Kevin R. Lowell

Senior Vice President, Information Technology As senior vice president of information technology, Kevin ensures the company’s information systems support a first-class wireless experience for customers. His organization provides the foundational capabilities necessary for frontline associates to serve customers and for the delivery of products and services. Kevin oversees all areas of information technology, including application development and delivery, infrastructure, enterprise analytics and cybersecurity.

Kevin joined U.S. Cellular in 2003, and prior to his current position he served as vice president of engineering and network operations. In that role he was responsible for ensuring the superior quality of U.S. Cellular’s high-speed network so that customers have an excellent wireless experience.

Prior to joining U.S. Cellular, Kevin held various leadership positions for Sprint PCS, including director of network field operations. He holds a bachelor's degree in English Literature from the University of California, Los Angeles. He additionally has a master’s degree in Human and Organization Development and a doctorate in Organizational Development and Change from Fielding University in Santa Barbara, Calif.
U.S. Cellular VP, Strategy and Planning Frederick Lubeley

Frederick Lubeley

Vice President, Financial Planning and Analysis As vice president of strategy and planning, Fred is responsible for delivering critical financial analysis and support to the entire organization, helping to ensure that U.S. Cellular provides a great customer experience. He leads teams that manage budgeting and forecasting, management reporting, analysis of key investment decisions, roaming operations, and advanced analytical services.

Fred joined Telephone and Data Systems (U.S. Cellular's parent company) in 1997 as an internal audit supervisor, and since 2001 he has held a variety of positions at U.S. Cellular, including roles in operations and finance. He most recently served as director of business strategy, where he was responsible for evaluating new business opportunities and investments.

A certified public accountant and certified internal auditor, Fred earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master's degree in business administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. He lives in Algonquin, Ill., with his wife and two children.
U.S. Cellular VP, Marketing Courtland Madock

Courtland Madock

Vice President, Marketing As vice president of marketing, Courtland is responsible for executing customer acquisition and retention strategies that deliver subscriber and revenue growth while aggressively positioning U.S. Cellular's products, devices and services in a highly competitive wireless telecommunications marketplace. Her responsibilities span pricing and promotional strategy and execution, customer lifecycle management, product development, marketing operations, go-to-market delivery, device management, marketing effectiveness and innovation.

Since joining U.S. Cellular in 2007, Courtland has held positions of increasing responsibility across the product strategy, product development, business strategy, marketing planning and forecasting functions. Most recently, she served as senior director of revenue growth and marketing operations. She started her career as an Economist for The Department of Labor and then progressed through several roles as a consultant for Diamond Management and Technology Consultants.

Courtland earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa, and a master’s degree in marketing, strategy and management from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. She lives in the Chicago area with her four children.

Verchele W. Roberts

Vice President, Brand Management As vice president of brand management, Verchele is responsible for leading U.S. Cellular’s brand strategy, managing brand perceptions, growing the company’s customer base and helping deliver the world’s best customer experience for consumers and businesses. The advertising, brand activation/sponsorship and local marketing, consumer insights and retail design teams report to Verchele.

Verchele has more than 25 years of marketing experience, serving most recently as chief marketing officer for Moe’s Southwest Grill at FOCUS Brands, where she was responsible for leading the brand’s multi-channel marketing strategy and culinary innovation. Prior to FOCUS Brands, Verchele has held marketing leadership roles at United Services Automobile Association (USAA), InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and The Procter & Gamble Company (P&G).

Verchele earned a bachelor’s degree from Tougaloo College in Jackson, Miss., and a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing from the School of Business at Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Ga. Verchele has served on the national board of directors for the Association of National Advertisers (ANA) and as an Effie judge, including the Grand Effie, which rewards advertising effectiveness. Verchele and her husband, Jonathan, will reside in the Greater Chicago area.
U.S. Cellular VP, Advanced Technology and Systems Planning Narothum Saxena

Narothum Saxena

Vice President, Advanced Technology and Systems As vice president of advanced technology and systems planning for U.S. Cellular, Narothum is responsible for the evaluation, architecture and integration of new and existing technologies, products, and services. The advanced technology and systems planning & implementation teams report to Saxena.

Saxena has more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications and wireless industry. He has been with U.S. Cellular for 11 years, most recently serving as senior director of advanced technology and systems planning. Saxena has lead U.S. Cellular's research and development effort which has developed 25 patents and has several pending.

Prior to joining U.S. Cellular, he co-founded Cambia Networks and held various leadership positions at 3COM, Indian Space Research Organization, Omnitel and AMI-Sanag.

Saxena has a master's degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a bachelor's degree in electronics and communication engineering from Osmania University in India. He completed an executive management program from the University of Chicago. He lives in North Hoffman Estates, IL, with his wife and their two children.
U.S. Cellular VP, Supply Chain Catherine Shackleford

Catherine Shackleford

Vice President, Supply Chain As vice president of supply chain, Cathy's teams ensure that U.S. Cellular sources the highest quality goods and services at the best overall value, and also works with high-quality vendors to deliver the latest devices to customers and provide the world's best wireless experience. The sourcing, procurement, and supply chain teams report to her.

Shackleford began her wireless career in supply chain, logistics and procurement in 1990 with GTE Wireless in Tampa, Fla. Previously she served as vice president of procurement and logistics at Alltel Communications and then procurement head at Evergreen Packaging. Prior to joining U.S. Cellular in July 2014, she was the senior vice president of supply chain, procurement and commercial real estate at Cricket Communications.

Cathy earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from St. Leo University in St. Leo, Fla., and a master's degree in business and industrial engineering (Management of Technology) from the University of Miami. Cathy lives in Prospect Heights, IL, with her family.
U.S. Cellular VP, Federal Affairs and Public Policy Grant Spellmeyer

Grant Spellmeyer

Vice President, Federal Affairs and Public Policy As vice president of federal affairs and public policy, Grant is responsible for U.S. Cellular's regulatory and policy efforts that help the company achieve outcomes that support its strategic business positions while providing an excellent customer experience.

Spellmeyer has more than 20 years of experience in legal affairs, legislative and regulatory issues. Since joining U.S. Cellular in 2006, he has been the principal representative for the company in legislative and regulatory matters. Most recently, he served as executive director of federal affairs and public policy.

Prior to joining U.S. Cellular, Spellmeyer held several positions at U.S. Cellular's affiliate, TDS Telecom, including director of legal affairs and carrier relations. Prior to joining TDS in 2001, Spellmeyer served as vice president of human resources and general counsel for Chorus Communications Group in Madison, Wis. He also practiced law for six years at a firm in Madison and was a special prosecutor for the Dane County District Attorney's office.

Spellmeyer earned a bachelor's degree in economics, a master's degree in public policy and administration and a law degree all from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wis. He also has a master's degree in business administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL A native of the Chicago area, Spellmeyer lives in Kensington, Md., with his wife and three children.

Mike Dienhart

Vice President, Enterprise Portfolio Management and Technology Shared Services As vice president of enterprise portfolio management and technology shared services, Mike is responsible for leading project delivery across all aspects of the business, including IT initiatives, portfolio management, and operational enhancements. His teams are also responsible for technology financial management, strategic technology contract negotiations, and for governance, risk and compliance administration for the technology group.

Mike joined U.S. Cellular in 2003 and has held positions of increasing responsibility including leadership roles within regional engineering and national network planning. He most recently served as senior director of shared technology services. Prior to joining U.S. Cellular, Mike held several roles at Sprint PCS, including leading its Network Operations Center.

Mike has a bachelor's degree in business management from the University of Phoenix and a master’s degree in business administration from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill.

Mike Sweeney

Vice President, Enterprise Infrastructure and Security As vice president of enterprise infrastructure and security, Mike is responsible for implementing and maintaining critical infrastructure and operational discipline to ensure the highest core system availability and protection of company and customer data. His teams provide cybersecurity services across the organization, along with infrastructure services for core back office systems and digital workplace services for company care centers, retail stores, business offices, and engineering teams.

Mike joined U.S. Cellular in 2012 and most recently served as senior director of I.S. infrastructure and cybersecurity. In that role he was responsible for ensuring the availability and functionality of critical I.S. platforms, while also keeping company and customer information secure and protected from cyber-attacks. He previously held positions in distributed infrastructure and infrastructure delivery.

Prior to joining U.S. Cellular, Mike held various leadership positions in IT operations, software development and delivery and call center operations. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Roosevelt University in Chicago and a master's degree in telecommunications from DePaul University in Chicago.

Kimberly Green-Kerr

Senior Vice President – Enterprise Sales and Operations As senior vice president of enterprise sales and operations, Kim is responsible for driving revenue and customer growth, creating competitive differentiation in diverse industries and markets, and providing strategic direction for the company’s enterprise and government sales organization. In this role, she collaborates with cross-functional leaders to ensure that the company meets its long-term goals and that business and government customers have a great wireless experience throughout their tenure.

Prior to joining U.S. Cellular, Kim spent 24 years at Sprint, most recently serving as senior vice president of business solutions, where she lead a team of 2,000 sales professionals, including indirect partners, inside sales, and field sales personnel across all Sprint Business segments and channels of distribution. Previously, she led the business sales operation in a number of capacities, including vice president and general manager, business strategy and sales enablement, regional president, and regional vice president of business sales and distribution.

Kim earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and public affairs from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Miss., and completed the Executive Leadership Program at Georgetown University in Washington D.C. She is a 2019 Gold Stevie Award Winner for being a Leader in Transforming Customer Engagement and was also named to Connected World’s 2019 Women of M2M and IoT, recognized as a 2018 Top 100 Global Sales Leader by The Modern Sale and received the Women Who Mean Business award from the Kansas City Business Journal. She is currently on the Board of the Kansas City Tech Council and has been active with a variety of non-profit organizations, including the Kansas City Chapter of the American Heart Association, Junior Achievement of the National Capital Area and Matrix Human Services, an organization supporting children and families in at-risk Detroit neighborhoods. She is married and has one daughter.

Pamela Moore-Thompson

Vice President, Talent Strategies and Organizational Effectiveness As vice president of talent strategies and organizational effectiveness, Pamela is responsible for developing and implementing talent and development strategies across the company. She leads her teams to execute processes and tactics that help optimize the attraction, acquisition, performance and retention of exceptional associates, so in turn, they can provide a great wireless experience for customers.

Pamela joined U.S. Cellular in 2007 and has held positions of increasing responsibility in the human resources organization, most recently serving as senior director of organizational development and executive communications. Prior to joining U.S. Cellular, she worked in human resources roles primarily in the financial services industry.

Pamela has a bachelor's degree in marketing communication from Columbia College and a master's degree in management and organizational behavior from Benedictine University. She resides in Park Forest, Ill., with her family.
