Dear UScellular® customer,
As we've shared with you previously, Congress has not approved a
budget to continue the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), and,
unfortunately, April 2024 is expected to be the last fully funded month of
the program.
UScellular believes in the power of connection. We know the end of ACP
could make that more difficult for you, so that's why
starting in May,
we will be giving you a $12 replacement credit
each month for the next 12 months to help offset the loss of your ACP
discount.
This replacement credit will be automatically applied to your account each
month, at the same date and in the same way you've seen the ACP credit
appear in the past.
This may feel a bit confusing. Looking ahead, this is what you can
expect:
April 2024: Your last full ACP credit, up to $30 or $75 for qualifying Tribal Lands, will be applied to your account balance on April 29.
May 2024: A partial government-funded ACP credit, up to $14 or $35 for qualifying Tribal Lands, plus the UScellular $12 replacement credit will be applied on May 28.
June 2024-April 2025: UScellular $12 replacement credit will be applied around the 28th of each month. There will be no government-funded ACP credit beginning in June.
If ACP is funded again in the future and you still qualify, your previous ACP credit amount will be reinstated in place of the $12 credit.
We hope this helps as you plan future expenses, and if you haven't yet, please take time to review these additional discount programs that can help lower your bill if you qualify.
You are also encouraged to contact or visit
your local UScellular store and ask for an
account review to see if other plans can save you money.
We know you have choices, and you may consider other phone and internet
providers after your ACP credit ends. However, we hope you trust our
commitment to you and providing the best service, the best plans, and the
best prices to keep your household connected.
